The conflict
As long as you maintain an inner conflict you are irresolute and vulnerable.
The message you send to the world is confusing.
The conflict weakens you and scatters your energies.
In contrast if there’s no internal conflict you are strong, focused and resolute.
You want to quit smoking – you really do. At the same time you also want to keep on smoking – you really do.
Obviously you want to quit smoking if you have decided to look into this program.
Obviously you want to smoke if you are still smoking.
You smoke out of choice. No-one forces you to smoke.
Yes, you are addicted to nicotine, but you have the power to cease smoking completely if you really want to and never, ever smoke again.
You don’t have the power to do this now because you are in conflict.
Resolve the conflict and you will have the power. Resolve the conflict and you will not need much power at all.
How can you resolve the conflict?
One side of you obviously wants to quit and be free.
Another side of you wants to keep ‘enjoying’ the benefits and pleasures of smoking.
You can resolve this conflict by establishing clear understanding.
Find out about these ‘sides’ of you. Learn about them and where they are coming from. Once you understand ‘them’ clearly, you will make a natural choice as to which ‘side’ should have the whole of you behind it. The other side will just atrophy and die.
When the conflict is resolved, there’s nothing to give up!
Clarity will descend upon you.
A sense of relief will prevail.
Your energy will flow like a fresh mountain stream with no obstacles in its way. It will feel so good.
There’s nothing to lose – we are here to win.
Let’s resolve the conflict together. |
