Please remember - patience pays. Take it easy and don't be too quick to judge the merits of the program just yet. Please give it and yourself a chance. Just count your cigarettes and bring your attention to the moment when you light each one up. Take five days now for action and when you're ready, move on to the next Session.

You may not agree with everything that is said in each Session. You may find the tone and style of presentation annoying. You may think the material is not scrupulously researched, or not as intelligently delivered as you have expected. Well, maybe you are right.

But please don't be too quick to judge.

Please understand that the program is being made available for many different types of people, and people are different in their styles and preferences. This program is by no means trying to cater for the lowest common denominator, but it also cannot be perfectly tailored for everybody.

Please consider that it is not perfection that we pursue here. We are pursuing a path that will encourage action which leads to augmented self-control. It is up to you to embark on the path, assume responsibility, and understand that the program is about you and what is important to you. We are merely trying to highlight some issues from different angles for your consideration.

If you don't agree with everything here, that's natural, but don't make this an excuse for yourself to quit the program prematurely. Instead, take from the program only what you find valuable and beneficial.

Please surrender for the half-hour it takes to go through each Session - empty your cup and let the information in with a positive attitude. Judgment can come later, once you have experimented with the suggestions.

Train yourself to drink lots of water. Water is an acquired taste - the more you drink it, the more you will appreciate it.

Drink water, it is life substance. Consume more water than you do normally: try to increase your water intake by another liter per day. The simplest way of doing this is to buy a liter bottle and make sure it is empty by the end of the day.
