By drinking water you'll develop a beneficial habit, and it is a good lesson to observe how one creates a habit. Carry a bottle of good quality water with you in the car and in your bag, place it on your desk and by your bed and drink plenty of it.

Water is good for you; you cannot have too much of it - it will help you smoke less, it will cleanse your body and it is good for your weight management. Drink lots of water!

You should also take vitamin C. Buy chewable 100-milligram vitamin C tablets and whenever you feel the craving for a cigarette, but it's not yet the time for you to smoke, take a vitamin C. You can take at least ten and even twenty per day with no problem. It will benefit you, help you detoxify, and act as a replacement for a cigarette.
