After today there will be four more days before you are ready for Session Three, but please visit The Discourse Column daily. Move on to Session Three only if you have managed to stick to the amount of cigarettes you allocated.

Train yourself to drink lots of water. It is an acquired taste, but the more you drink, the more you will appreciate it. Please take this advice to heart: buy a liter-and-a-half bottle and make sure it is empty by the end of the day. Carry your water with you in the car and in your bag. Put it on your desk and by your bed.

We started this session with a request for you to listen, so please take this in. Drinking water is a very important part of the program - treat your bottle of water as you would your cigarettes. Buy a brand of water that you like, a brand you are happy to be associated with, and any time you feel the urge to smoke a cigarette, have a good drink of water first.

Drink at least one liter-and-a-half of good quality water per day: make it a habit. Please listen, and don't resent or question this advice - just drink your water and count your cigarettes.
