Addiction and Procrastination
Stop Smoking

tw

Part of the addictive behavior that most of us harbor is the tendency to procrastinate. It is a trick of addiction to keep to business as usual. Addiction does anything within its power to maintain itself.

You have to make a strong decision and act upon it. Our tendency is to procrastinate, because now is ‘not the right time’, and deal with things later. This is the wrong strategy: now is the best moment to act!

So please make a strong decision and stick to it no matter what. Make your decision so firmly and determinedly that you will be sending a clear message to all of your inner and outer faculties. ‘I have made a decision, I am taking action and I am not going back on it, no matter what.’

Once you have made such a decision you will be surprised by how empowering the act itself is. Your decision will be a self-fulfilling prophecy. By making the decision you will activate the powers to stand by it and achieve your goal.

The act of making a clear decision has colossal consequences.

But once you have made the decision, remember that you still have to act on it. For now, the decision is only in the realm of your mind.

Therefore, don’t hesitate and don’t wait for tomorrow – act upon your decision immediately. Philosophy in Action is all about taking an idea from the realm of philosophy – ie: thinking about it and talking about it – then manifesting it in the real world through action – ie: actually doing something about it.

The action should take place immediately, otherwise the strength of your decision will fade away and you are likely to fall back into the old pattern and excuse of ‘I’ll do it later’.

Bring the same principle to the action as you did to the decision.

You have woken up and seen the light, and now you have made up your mind and this is it. You have burnt the bridge and there’s no way back from here.

This determination in both decision and action will be liberating.

Until now you have lived in conflict.

You’ve enjoyed smoking and you did not want to give the damn cigarettes up. You feared that you might not cope, and you were afraid you would pine for them like for a lost love. On the other hand, however, you knew you were chemically dependent on a drug and that the consequences of using nicotine are absolutely disastrous. And so you always wanted to quit, but you also wanted to keep smoking. Such a state breeds indecisiveness.

But now the time has come, the conflict is over.

Making a decision has a liberating effect – this is a fact.

Living with a constant conflict is living in a state of unrest – a great deal of energy is consumed by the conflict. Once you have made a clear decision, the conflict is resolved. The energy that you have unknowingly invested is freed and you will find yourself relieved and energized. This freed energy will fuel the fulfillment of your decision. The elements will fall into alignment with you as you take the reins and regain control.

Make a clear and firm decision.

Act upon it.

The conflict is over.

Please trust yourself with no doubts and no hesitations.

You can do it for sure!

But there is one important thing that you should know. It is the law, the law of the universe, that after a decision has been made and acted upon, resistance must follow.

This information is of extreme importance, so please pay attention.

Once you have contemplated and made a decision, then acted upon your decision and manifested it to the world, you will encounter resistance. In one form or another, you will bump into obstacles that you did not expect at all.

This is the law.

And so, when you make a decision and act upon it, expect the unexpected. Expect trouble, and don’t be surprised when it comes – don’t cry about your misfortune or bad luck, this has nothing to do with it. However it may appear to you, this is not personal. It is the law of the universe, so just observe and see what comes.

Information will lead to transformation only if you act upon it, otherwise it is just an intellectual pastime. Invite the information in and don’t allow your old patterns to distract you by belittling or resisting it.

If you take action upon the information, the message you send out both inwardly and outwardly will vibrate strongly and clearly.
